Competitions at The Rockhampton Show

Do you have a competitive streak? There is a competition for everyone at the show!

Test your rural skills in the Young Farmers Challenge or wear your show day best for the Best Dressed Competition.

The kids can enter the Colouring In Competition or the Fact Hunt to win some great prizes. Everyone can have a go at guessing the weight of Bailey, the Clydesdale stallion in Ag Hall.

Fun Fact Competition

The Rocky Show FUN FACT competition takes school aged children on a hunt around the showgrounds to answer 10 questions about this year's show. Entry is free, a mystery prize is to be won! Visit the Agforce Kids Classroom, in Ag Hall, to get your entry form. Read More »

We are bringing back an old show favourite! ~ Wear your best on People's Day and see if you can win yourself a $50 voucher. Entry is by gold coin and judging takes place at the Rotunda at 10:50am. Read More »

Miss Showgirl Award

For girls between 18 and 28 years of age who have an interest in their local Show and who have the potential to be a good representative for Agricultural Shows in Queensland. Read More »

Junior Miss Showgirl Award

This is a local competition run by the Rockhampton Agricultural Show Society for young girls aged 14-17 years of age who have a keen interest in their local Agricultural Show. Nominations are open now. Parental consent is required. Read More »

Rural Ambassador Award

A competition for young people between 20 and 30 years of age who are actively involved in Shows or have a strong affiliation towards agriculture and have knowledge about current rural issues pertaining to their local area, the State and Australia. Read More »

Junior Rural Ambassador Award

A competition for young people between 14 and 20 years of age who have a strong commitment to rural industry and who have a genuine interest or affilitation with their local agricultural show movement. Read More »
