Rocky Instincts

Develop your basic instincts by keeping your skills and knowledge alive in one of the Rocky Instincts workshops.  Rocky Instincts are located behind the Exhibition Pavilion.



Falling from the sky Thursday and Friday the dare devils from Skydiving Capricorn, will drop into Centre Ring.

The Sandman

Art media can be found in many forms as discovered by Dennis Masoud.  Pop into the Robert Schwarten Pavilion and watch as the Sandman transforms a pile of sand into a masterpiece.  


Camp Oven Cooking

Want to learn how to cook in a camp oven?  Well now you can.  Camp Oven cooking will be on display throughout the three days of Show, located behind the Exhibition Pavilion.

Magic Meats

Do you know where meat comes from?

Learn how sausages with Magic Meats demonstrations.  Located in the McCamley Hall.



2018 brings a big change to the Woodchop at the Rockhampton Agricultural Show, with a new location and larger program stretching over the 3 days of Show.  The new Woodchop Arena can be found at the end of the Exhibition Pavilion.

First Light Entertainment

Roaming the grounds this year you will come across the amazing and quirky stilt walkers. 

Wood Turning

Ever wondered how timber was crafted into different items.  Come along and watch the way timber was transformed many years ago.


Fun for all ages, the Minions can be seen every day on the Stage in the Robert Schwarten Pavilion.

What’s Back in 2018

AgSperts Trail

Starting in the Robert Schwarten Pavilion, kids can complete the Agsperts Trail around the agricultural areas of the show. Learn about the agriculture CQ has to offer. Complete the activity book by visiting each check point to go in the draw to win a prize.

Noah’s Thoroughbred Pig Racing

Which racin’ bacon will win? Watch the new breed of trotters zoom around their race track behind Exhibition Hall.

Animal Farm

Back and bigger than ever!  Get up close and personal with animals of all shapes and sizes in the animal farm located behind Exhibition Pavilion.

Bush Poet

Local bush poet Bob Pacey will be sharing poems and yarns throughout the Show. Pull up a stump and grab a cuppa at the Rotunda to be whisked away into Bob’s world.

Luke’s Reptile Kingdom

Learn about your favourite scalely friends at Luke’s Reptile Kingdom.  Luke’s show will educate you on some of the most unique and treasured wildlife.  Shows run every day just inside Gate 2.

Street Science

Street Science brings the exciting (and sometimes explosive) world of science to kids of all ages in an interactive show. Explore the seriously FUN world of science at one of their regular shows in Robert Schwarten Pavilion.

V8 Trackskill

See the V8 Utes tear up the Centre Ring with the Holden Vs Ford State of Origin Race, Farm Skills Challenge and Hot Laps.  They will make regular appearances in the Centre Ring, just listen for those engines!

The Drafting Yard Bar & Grill

Sit back, relax and have something to eat and drink at the licensed restaurant, The Drafting Yard Bar & Grill located in the Robert Schwarten Pavilion. Enjoy family friendly entertainment all day on the Robert Schwarten Stage.
